Born in Cagliari in 1967 he obtained the qualification to the control of charter boats obtaining the following professional titles:

• Qualification Licence to the control of pleasure-ships
• Second class captain
• Pleasure Navigation Officer
• Machines director on board
• Radiotelephone ship operator limited certificate.
• Sub Licence

He attended with success the following professional navigation courses:

• Sanitary first aid
• Surviving training and sea rescue
• Personal security and social responsibility training
• Basic and advanced anti-fire course
• Training course to the use of normal observer RADAR
• Training course to the use of automatic ARPA data elaboration RADAR Systems
• Qualified Seaman certificate for the rescue methods “m.a.m.s”
